I got half the squares for Jamie’s blanket connected two days ago and then didn’t make a post 😞 so now I’ve got basically three more rows to connect and the whole blanket will technically be attached. I still have to join all the perpendicular rows after that and do a border, but we’re coming along. I love the design.

First half

I also did a single line of calligraphy while Erica screamed in the background for the first time in weeks, and man, I really love calligraphy. I need to do it more.

I liked how surrender turned out

Today Erica played with lots of blocks and Jamie was a baby. She made some great stacks and then stood in the block storage barrel and sang row your boat. He did impressive spits a couple times and melted my heart with a couple smiles. And melted his diaper with a couple poops. Ukno.

Lately I have been wondering about (read: having anxiety over) how things will be when my kids are adults. What will I have done wrong? How will our relationship be? What if they do drugs or are mean or have my mental illnesses?

I am also looking forward to knowing the wonderful people I have faith they will be. But being a parent to adults seems hard. Why I’m worrying about this now, when they’re both in diapers, I couldn’t tell you (spoiler, it’s mental illness,) but it’s ok. I have therapy tomorrow.  😂😂😭

In other news Grandma got a bunch more of the stuff she was storing in our parts of the house out today. There is so much space. It is so beautiful.

Also we put up some posters on the wall a week or so back and it made it feel much more like our home and I forgot to post about it, so I’m sharing now.

No they aren’t perfectly even I know, we did our best

That is all.
