Today my 2.5yo asked me to beatbox for her (they do some in Ms Rachel videos it’s not that weird a request believe it or not)

I said

Mommy is not good at beatboxing but I will try

I did some bootsncats bullshit and she seemed unimpressed and mildly confused so I got embarrassed and stopped and said “I tried but I don’t really know how, so I’m not very good”

That little twerp really agreed, hit me with “mama not good, ecca try”

Y’all I swear to god this little girl just sat there going pspsps puh puh and then looked so proud, she was making little spit sounds it was absurd

And damned if I wasn’t so fucking proud of her for trying even though Mommy couldn’t do it. Told her so, too. Always gotta try.

And mommy may be bad at beatboxing but I’m maybe an okay parent so I did ask her if she had fun trying, and told her she can always keep trying fun things whether she thinks she (or mommy) is good at them or not. She did amazing though, obviously. Pspspspspsps puh.

(dear god I hope she doesn’t ask me to do that again I was horrid)

In other news Jamie is definitely teething and hates it. Screeching like a banshee today, and his feed schedule has been weird for a couple days. Parenting is wild.
