…I got touched by the poison variety. Little spots starting to pop up on my hands, joy of joys. I thought I might’ve come in contact with it when I cleared the garden the other day, but I washed my hands and arms real hard in the middle of it all and again after, and then showered with heavy soap. I hoped I was clear… But nope. Sigh. At least I’m not as allergic as my dad. His rashes are diabolical.

We took Erica to a green space nearby today and had some fun just running around, though it was really hot. I think she got water up her nose for the first time in her life during her bath today. Welcome to having a body, my darling, it sucks. She was very tough about it though.

The days have slipped by quickly recently, though they’re also full. I saw my bestie for the first time in a while in the past couple days. She held James for the first time, that was precious. For fun I’m playing a lot of chess while nursing. I am trash at it but it’s fun. I’m still getting more boxes unpacked and more things organized slowly but surely – I got my nail stuff set up today. Nicely organized but also tucked away in a wardrobe cabinet so the clutter of all the (way too many) polish bottles isn’t right in my face all the time. It feels like luxury.

Today I also found out someone I care about a ton is finally pregnant after a long process of fertility treatments and struggles! Please join me in my enormous happiness for them 💖

I am still making slow progress on Jamie’s blanket but not enough to give a photo report. Have some nice photos of my day instead.

Ugh… not the ivy. Next time, scrub with dawn detergent… even if you get little bumps. It gets the oil out and makes you better. If only I knew that in the early days!
    Super happy for your friend!

I literally did wash with dawn… Twice! And then I took a shower. I dunno what I did wrong 😭 maybe just didn’t notice before it started soaking in, so by the time I noticed and immediately washed it was already too late?
