Ok I haven’t made much progress on James’s blanket, but I’m keeping busy. Still tryna figure out this mom of two thing. Today James had a hip ultrasound because he was breech – everything looks good. I also did a bunch of weeding in the back patio garden thanks to Nate pulling double duty with the kids, which was rewarding. And of course there’s dealing with Erica’s big potty training regression to keep me on my toes. Peeing everywhere. We bought her a fluffy her-sized dinosaur chair and she peed on it within fifteen minutes of receiving it today. AND we’ve been invited to the children’s museum by a mom I’m tryna make friends with. How tf am I supposed to bring a child who pees everywhere to a museum? But we gotta go out! It’s been ages!
I digress. I’m exhausted and trying to go to bed earlier on the regular, which is part of why I’m getting less crafting done. Less me time. It’s pretty much all mom stuff and sleep. We’ll see how it goes in the long run. I have been managing to do my skin care both morning and night again for a few days now, and that feels like a huge win even if I’ve got the retinol uglies rn.
I will get back to the blanket soon, one way or another!
