I finished my embroidery today! When I was done backing it I stuck it on an old nail already in the wall just for kicks, to see it up somewhere, but Nate immediately said he loved it… so there it stays. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I’m blanching a little less at the thought of finishing Jamie’s blanket, so mission accomplished. I really want to finish that. Definitely next on the list.
Anyway this took a lot less time and effort than I thought it would, so I’m looking forward to doing it again. I think my next thing will just be a whole ring of flowers bunched together, like the bunch on this. I’ll definitely have to do better with the threads in the back, though. I left them stupidly long and messy for this one and you can see the shadow of them under the finished product sometimes.
