Marion Makes…

It was Erica’s first time out in snow today! She had a bunch of fun, big ole grin. It helps that she’s already been in love with her new snow boots… We let her wear them off and on the last few days to get used to walking in em. We built her a snowman but she was not very impressed 🤣

She was very impressed with the new soft blocks we bought her. We saw em at the library and immediately had to get some lmfao. She wanted to sit in the container they came in almost as much as she wanted to play with them, though. Kids are so funny.

After she went to bed, Nate and I assembled her new kitchen playset. I say playset but it has a working sink, so we’re really hoping to teach her to use it practically more than just for play. It’s made for it, with a cutting board and a kid safe fruit chopper and a little colander and stuff. All sorts of uses we can show her. I can’t wait to show her tomorrow, although at 19mo she’s just barely old enough to start messing around with it. She’ll at least be excited cuz she’s seen a bunch of kitchen playsets at the libraries we go to.

It was super nice to put the thing together with Nate, too, although we both get a little frustrated with these assemble at home types of things 🥲 we still had fun and enjoyed geeking out over the thing together, and it’s good to have a shared project every now and then.

All in all, a really full, lovely day. I’m beat.
