Marion Makes…

Yesterday was a wonderful day! We went to breakfast, and then the library with Ecca… then went and bought her first pair of shoes! Very exciting.

Then when we sang her bedtime song the most amazing thing happened. We always end the song with “goodnight” and then immediately each of us gives her a kiss. This time, she beat us to it. We sang goodnight, and she made a kiss noise right away. It was amazing.

Then overnight was awful. Tooth pain. She woke us up like four times. We were gonna go to a craft fair today, but we were too worn out after all that. So we laid low, then went to the in laws after Erica’s first nap.

While we were there, she fell into a box with her legs sticking up and out (yes it was as funny as it sounds, no I didn’t get a picture 😞) and I thought she’d maybe be able to right herself, but she decided she couldn’t and she was stuck. Instead of just screaming, this girl yelled “no no no.”

That’s amazing. She was in distress and still thought of a word. How fantastic and wild.

Then for her nap there she took off her clean diaper, threw it on the floor, and proceeded to poop straight onto her bed and play with it.

That was fun.

My mom got a good laugh out of it though. I did the same thing as a baby (although I smeared it on the walls and Erica blessedly did not) and it is one of my mom’s favorite stories of my infancy. She has always loved to gripe about it and promise I’ll get my karma one day. Here we are.
