Started the day off real well, took Erica to the library. We were gonna attend toddler storytime, but she had so much fun wandering around and was so restless during the reading that we skipped out and let her keep exploring. She walked all over the kids section and the outside section, and got to interact with all sorts of kids and new toys. It was lovely. She’s such a big girl.
Now she’s down for her nap, and I’m finishing up packing to go home. It’s a weird feeling. I’ve been ready to go home for a week, but now that the day is here I’m a little reluctant, cuz of course I am, right? 🙄 I’ll really miss Nate for the next couple days, and also the walks we’re always taking here. Our neighborhood is way less walkable and more inconvenient. And starting the day off well puts me in the mood for more walks. (weird af, I know.)
But I’m super excited to be with my cats again, and a couple friends from back home in NC are coming to visit and meet Erica for the first time, and that is extra wonderful! So it’ll be good. I’m feeling a *whole* lot better than yesterday, probably just from the library time. And better sleep. I always do better with better sleep. Lol.
