Sliding another one in last minute. I’m a creature of habit, what can I say?

I kid, I just procrastinate.

We had a really good day today. Erica was wonderful as always, hit 14 steps again, and just keeps being more and more affectionate and sweet. Mike came over to drop off some food and she went behind him and rubbed his back, and put her head on his lap. She does that shit all the time now. My heart has melted outta my body at this point. I should not have any heart left with how much she melts it.

The food Mike brought was homemade ratatouille, cuz I said in passing that I missed his cooking. He’s super extra, and I feel bad that he did something nice for me (isn’t it weird how that works? why is my gut reaction to someone being nice guilt?), but it was delicious. And delicious tops most other things, even guilt. Lol.

Nate and I closed out the day watching Sinners, w/Michael B Jordan. Very good movie. Prolly the best I’ve seen in a very long time. I hope it wins awards type shit. I don’t normally care, but this one definitely deserves recognition. Seems like it’s getting it, too.

There’s probably a whole lot I could write about it, but I think I’ll just say that the depth to which it manages to explore so many complex and emotional narratives, as well as including excellent horror elements, is just phenomenal. And, the narratives are all carried throughout; you never drop a single issue or plot point. It was way beyond anything I expected. I think the last time I thought a movie was this good was Everything Everywhere All at Once, and I’m a little biased towards that one cuz I love Michelle Yeoh.

Now Nate is in bed and I have to decide if I’mma be a responsible adult and follow him or no.
Ugh.
