Marion Makes…

Turns out I do not like this book. I am finishing it out of spite so that no one can say my 2/10 rating was because I didn’t finish it.

Today has been a good day. Erica and I played a bunch. We walked all around the house and the back patio with her just holding my hand, and she of course took a few steps on her own here and there. Then her dad got home so we did more focused walking practice, and she did fourteen steps – a new best…

Then she stood up on her own!

Nate and I were blown away. She hasn’t done that yet, that either of us has ever seen. She always needs something to prop herself on or pull herself up with. But today, with a ball in one hand, she put her feet under her, with her hands (well, a hand and a ball) on the floor, and just stood straight up. Even took a couple steps forward, holding the ball all the while.

It’s happening too quickly y’all. It’s not really, she’s almost a late walker lol, but it feels like just yesterday she was a wrinkly little newborn gremlin. I’m so proud of her growth. It’s crazy.

That’s p much everything, except to add that I did get back on the exercise bike today. I actually read and texted my brother while I was on it, and it worked really well distracting me. I’ll probably keep reading while I bike in the future, cuz it was more engrossing than the podcast.
