Finished the third book in the farseer trilogy. It was quite good. I look forward to reading the next set of three in the series, but first I’m gonna try to read city of saints and madmen by Jeff vandermeer first, but I’m a bit into the book now and so far I don’t like his run on sentences. His descriptors are occasionally great and inventive, but often I think he’s just going too hard for a shock factor. Dunno. We’ll see how the story develops. Vandermeer is sposta be excellent and I haven’t read anything else by him.
Erica keeps walking on her own more and more frequently, without us making her. She still only takes a few steps at a time, and usually doesn’t think to do it until after we’ve done a little focused walking practice recently, but it’s big progress. She’s so big. She’s so bright. I’m not gonna be able to keep up with her, lol.
We did get the office at Grandma and Zaide’s house mostly baby proofed and she really appreciated having a bigger space to play in, so that’s good too. We won’t have to stay here again for another six weeks, but when we do it’ll be a full two weeks, so we’ll definitely need the area.
We closed the day with another family walk before bed. There’s always so much to see. Pushing her stroller uphill tho, oh my god. Awful.
